In Memoriam is a memorial of fire, which speaks to the eternal presence of Walter Benjamin’s ideas and life. It consists of three large, upright wooden radios. The material covering the speakers is replaced by jacquard woven pieces, while in each of the upper apertures of the three radios, the identical video of fire burning is seen. The same video of fire is projected very large onto a screen behind the radios, as a backdrop to them. A sound track, a low ominous hum of fire crackling, is heard.
